Goddess Bala Sundari Mahamayi Temple

Mahamayi Temple near Shuddowala, Dehradun is a very old ( 500 - 600 years) built in midst of a reserved forest, the temple is built on true Garhwal architecture. The large mangrove trees give shelter to the temple. Only on Fridays & Sundays of every week around a hundred devotees throng to the temple. On Sundays the temple authority serves a free vegetarian lunch to devotees. On Navratras (9 days festival) the temple attracts thousands of devotees from in & around Dehradun on a daily basis. Visiting this temple should always be on the itinerary of any tourist who comes to Dehradun as one gets an old world charm in visiting this temple & also it is believed that the Goddess is very powerful in granting wishes.
